Recently, MLSVallarta conducted an informal study to determine which regions of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit are the most popular among homebuyers. This was done by calculating how many times the individual pages of regions in MLSVallarta.com are visited. These pages include descriptions of each popular area, what you will find there and the most common types of properties in the area, accompanied by photos, a map and a selection of properties currently listed in these areas.

By far, the most popular region was Centro Vallarta Sur with more than 4,000 visits this December. This area, also known as Zona Romantica or Emiliano Zapata, comprises the area south of the Cuale River to Los Muertos and surrounding streets. There has been a resurgence of interest here in recent years as people prefer the center, where you can easily walk to the beach, shops and restaurants, and the prices are reasonable. There is a lot of activity here and one can comfortably travel on foot. That is not the case with many of the other popular regions. The developers are filling the demand with small boutique condo projects, many of which have common areas on the terrace that have infinite pools, relaxation areas, wonderful views and sky bar.

The next two popular regions are Nuevo Vallarta and Bucerías with more than 3,000 visits each. Nuevo Vallarta is a very wide region that offers a wide variety of options for those interested in Real Estate in Bahía de Banderas. There are four golf courses that offer houses and condos on the fairway, a marina with condos overlooking the marina and the sea, and one of the best beaches in the bay for housing in condominiums with exceptional views. Bucerias has always been popular but it seems that this has been increasing these days. Although it is the same beach as Nuevo Vallarta, it offers a more traditional aspect of the Mexican lifestyle, with homes and condos along the beach and the streets behind.

After this, with somewhat similar positions, there are Amapas, Conchas Chinas, La Cruz, Marina Vallarta and Punta de Mita. Strangely, Sayulita, which is a very popular point, did not have a good ranking. We believe that this is because there are many good sites that offer good information specifically from Sayulita, something that is not found with the other regions, so many people probably get their information from those sites.
