Zona Romantica

Downtown

This is the best-known neighborhood in Puerto Vallarta, is famous for its cobblestone streets and typical white houses with red tile roofs, a nostalgic atmosphere that recalls times from the past. The permissibility of animals in public and private spaces is a matter of discretion, with the exception of banks, supermarkets, hospitals, regarding public transportation and Uber or local taxi, pets must be in a kennel.

Regarding veterinary services, along the Pacific coast there are many specialized clinics, with high quality services available 24 hours. Pet care treatments, food, treats, and toys are easily found in supermarkets, premium foods are often sold by vets.
